CamCook is a recipe app that scans your ingredients and suggests recipes. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data. Here is a simple overview of what we do.
- Photos you take with the scan feature.
- Your saved recipes and scan history.
- Basic preferences, like dietary settings.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history.
The camera only turns on when you start a scan. We never access it in the background, and we never open your photo gallery. Scan photos are used to detect ingredients and are not permanently stored on our servers.
We use an AI model to read your ingredient photos and generate recipes. Photos are sent securely for processing and are not used to train our own models.
We use your data only to run the app: scanning ingredients, generating recipes, saving your favorites, and remembering your preferences. We never use it for advertising and we never sell it.
Your saved recipes and history are stored securely and encrypted in transit. Only you can access your own data. Scan photos are not kept after your recipes are generated.
You are always in control. You can delete your saved recipes and scan history from within the app, and you can turn camera or notification access on or off anytime from your device settings.
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Continued use of CamCook means you accept the current policy.
